David Gray (1930-2014) was a student at the AA in 50s, a tutor at the AA from the early 1960s until the early 90s, and a successful modernist architect. For his significant contribution to the AA he was awarded Honorary Membership in 2013.

It was David Gray’s express wish that his friends, colleagues and students should have ‘a jolly party’ to celebrate all the wonderful times he had shared with them.  In honor of this the Architectural Association and his family hosted a  celebratory lunch party in Bedford Square Gardens on 27th September 2014. A buffet lunch and drinks were served, along with a live band and a speech from former AA President Adrian Gale.
