The Beyond Entropy project, which started with an exhibition held at the Giorgio Cini Foundation during last year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, is to host this special event for AA Members in Venice. The central theme of the Biennale, ILLUMInations, and its relationship to Energy and Space, will be covered in a series of roundtable discussions with internationally renowned curators.
The programme includes a three-day entry to Biennale sites and a series of visits and discussions. Beyond Entropy host a lecture by Adam Lowe and Jerry Brotton, curators of Piranesi and ‘Penelope’s Labour: Weaving Words and Images’ exhibitions held at the Giorgio Cini Foundation. Afterwards there will be a visit to the Biennale followed by an open panel discussion in the Arsenale with Paolo Baratta, Bice Curiger, Germano Celant, Massimiliano Gioni, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Letizia Ragaglia, Diana Baldon, Giovanni Carmine, Okwi Enwezor, Beatrix Ruf and Vicente Todoli.
A second roundtable discussion, also in the Arsenale, will take place on Sunday with Paolo Baratta, Bice Curiger, Francesco Bonami, Daniel Birnbaum, Maria de Corral, Rosa Martinez and Robert Storr.
