AA Membership is pleased to announce a day trip to the city of Liverpool on 12 June. Featuring a tour of the city by former AA Tutor Brian Hatton and an exclusive tour of The Everyman Theatre led by the Architect Steve Tompkins of Haworth Tompkins Architects and current AA Tutor & Artist Antoni Malinowski. A group lunch will be included and the trip will also give a chance for Members to explore the Docklands area of the city & Tate Liverpool.
The Everyman Theatre completed in 2013 has won RIBA North West Building of the Year Award, RIBA North West Regional Award, AIA UK Honorable Mention and was described by Architectural Critic Rowan Moore as imparting ‘an exceptional sense of well being that runs from the public areas through the auditorium to back of house spaces of unusual quality’. Brian Hatton, also reviewed the building for Architectural Reviews june edition.
Travel arrangements: A train will leave Euston station and return on the same day for anyone travelling from London, we also welcome anyone who wishes to make their own way there.
