Weekend trip to Venice staying on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore at the Vittore Branca Centre. The group will attend private talks held at the Giorgio Cini Foundation and will be taken on a tour of the Palazzo Cini Gallery exhibition Tuscan and Ferrarese Masterpieces from the Vittorio Cini Collection. While staying at the Giorgio Cini Foundation we will also take in the installation The Sky Over Nine Columns by Heinz Mack in front of the Palladio Church of San Giorgio Maggiore.
The trip also includes entry to the Fundamentals Venice Architecture Biennale 2014 curated by Rem Koolhaas. Tours within the Architecture Biennale include the Maison Dom-ino installation (Giardini) led by AA tutor and director of vbvb studio Valentin Bontjes van Beek, and, the Albanian Pavilion (Arsenale) led by Stefano Rabolli Pansera, director of Beyond Entropy and winner of the Golden Lion for Best National Participation at the Venice Art Biennale 2013 for the Angolan Pavilion.
